Hot Summer Fun

As members of the Y, we are now able to go to the summer pool for free. This past Mon. was a hot day so we decided to check it out. We had so much fun we stayed the whole day and the boys went back on Thurs.!

We decided to fluff up Connor's hair for this picture. This one makes me a little sad because Mike gave him a major haircut that night and now he looks like he's ready to go into the Army! I want my baby's hair back!

As you can see they have lots of fun spouts and fountains for the kids.

Lake Tobias

Mike's last day of school was June 11th. On June 12th, we (Yes, amazingly I went along!) traveled up to Lake Tobias with my mom and dad. We really like that park-it has lots of shade, it's not so big you have to rush to get through it in a day, and you really get up close and personal with the animals. Connor really liked the "big kitties." I love being able to pet the zebras. This guy has his tongue sticking out! They have a reptile house where they explain all the animals. Hayden and Connor are petting a baby alligator. The safari ride is really neat too. Sometimes the animals like to get on the bus!

Our anniversary

Our anniversary was on June 10th which was a Sun., so we had our date on Sat. instead. Mike got me two dozen of the prettiest roses I have ever seen. He also gave me some random gifts for a few days that I didn't really understand until I recieved my card. For each year that we have been married, he picked out something significant that happened that year and applied it to a gift. He is so thoughtful.

We weren't able to do very much because I was sick, but we did find a quiet park with a nice grape arbor where we ate our chinese dinner.

Getting Out!

These pictures were taken on June 4th when I finally decided I could get out of the house to take the kids to the park. I thought they looked cute in their sunglasses. Sometimes they really do love playing together!

back to Memorial Day

I apologize for not keeping my blog up-to-date. But the nausea is slowly getting better and I'm getting some energy back, so I am going to be more regular with my entries. Going back to Memorial Day, I actually got myself out of bed and went with the family to my aunt Wanda's house for her annual picnic. It was a nice day. I got sick in the evening, but it was about the time to leave anyway. Hayden and Connor have a cousin Addy who they are playing with in this picture. "When I'm on Daddy's shoulders I like to poke him and tease him!"
