Hayden's bed went up to the attic, so we set up the bunk beds awhile even though Connor is still sleeping in his crib. (I'm not ready for that transition yet!) They were so excited!

One more room done!
We just finished painting the small room in the attic which will serve as our guest room (Nanny's room right now). Here are a few before pics which don't even show how bad the walls were. And the room was entirely blue.
Now, here are the after pictures. Better?! I was so glad to be a part of this project. I love to paint rooms and see the difference it makes.
Happy Fourth of July
The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays so I'm always glad when the day has been good. Although the weather for the fireworks at the fairgrounds was horrible, the display was still enjoyable. We always go to my parents house during the day where all the family gathers for lots of good food and conversation. The kids play on their own most of the time which gives us parents a nice break. Since my parents just increased the size of their patio, we weren't even bothered by the rain. In fact, this has been one of the coolest 4th of July's that we can remember. I could even wear my hair down!
Connor needed a snack to warm up. He loves raisins!
My dad is such a goofball. He fries a turkey every year and let me tell you, there is not much left. It is so good. If you've never tried it, you've got to!
In the early evening we head over to our house to host front seats for the fireworks display. We didn't have as big a turn out this year because of the weather, but we still had fun.
Sunsets and blueberries
This picture was taken at Project 70. We went there for their summerfest and fireworks. They were great. Next year we want to take Pap's boat and watch the fireworks from the water!
We went on our annual trip to pick blueberries last Sat. and Mon. The weather was fantastic and the berries were so good. We picked 28 pounds this year! That better last us till next summer!
Hayden is getting really good at picking, but Connor wasn't even interested in eating the blueberries. All he did was fetch the water bottles for us!
