Oh Christmas Tree, Oh...crash!

Yes, this is our perpetrator. Mike is convinced she did it because she doesn't want to share her birthday with the stupid tree.

Well, for whatever reason she did it, she will be traumatized every year we break out the tree. She'll remember her first year when the big green thing came crashing down in front of her!

Amazingly, we only lost 3 insignificant ornaments in the incident.

More updates on Serena. I took her for her one year well visit and she weighed in at a whopping 16.1 lbs.! She is in the 3rd percentile for weight and tenth percentile for height at 27 in.. People said she was tiny, but I thought she was at least 18 or 19 lbs.! She's going to be 18 months before she is forward facing in her car seat! Monica Bowman keeps telling me to watch out because her Nikki is really tiny, but feisty-she doesn't take crap from anyone!

She also accomplished climbing up the stairs today. She's been trying since she started crawling, and really worked hard since we were at Amy and Steven's house that has carpeted stairs. She, and we, are so proud of her accomplishment. I can tell she is very determined and will work hard in life to get what she wants, just like her father.

Hahaha! I bet that would be scary! At least you didn't lose anything important...like an ornament, or an eye. :)

But can she come back down the stairs on her own??? Brie was supreme at going up. She was "on top of the world" until she turned around and realized she had to figure out a way to get back down. At that point she cried until someone came and got her. That went on for a few weeks until we decided to ignore her and make her figure it out on her own. We'd shown her numerous times, and when we stopped rescuing her, she did just fine. Aren't they great.

She and Emmy are about the same size. We call Emmy our petite one and Maddy is our giant. Maddy is turning four but fits in 6t clothing she is so tall. Woo hoo to climbing up the stairs and sliding down on tummies (emmy conquered that this week) aren't they so much fun at this age!!

I laughed out loud when I saw the Christmas tree. Glad no one was hurt, but that is so funny! (especially Mike's reasoning).

Those shots look like they belong in a movie... i've invested in the bulb that look like glass but are plastic.. they're awesome.. especially w/ kids and puppies :) Glad she went unscathed though!

Wow it's a good thing she didn't get hurt!
