Uncle Bob
This is a tribute to my Uncle Bob, who is struggling to survive right now. We are all praying for a miracle.
The story began about 25 years ago when Bob had triple bypass surgery at a young age (arond 30). His father died in his 40s due to the same complication. It is all hereditary because Bob does an excellent job of taking care of his body. He has had many physical trials through his life, but none as life-threatening as yesterday. He was doing service packing a truck of donated items to deliver to Biloxi after bad weather destroyed so many homes. He felt tired in the afternoon, but decided to go with Aunt Wanda down to Brown's Orchards to pick up a few things. On the way out to the car he mentioned he was dizzy, and collapsed. He was dying. Miraculously, Brown's has a defibrillator and one of the employees administered CPR and knew how to use the defibrillator. He or she saved his life. Had he stayed home by himself he would have died. The ambulance rushed him to York Hospital where they found that his one good artery was totally blocked and the other three arteries had major scar tissue from the previous surgery. They put a stint in and and corrected some of the scar tissue, but he was bleeding so badly that they couldn't close his chest for fear he would bleed out. To add to complications, his liver is not working due to another health issue. They are giving him a 50/50 chance to survive.
I feel so bad for him and Wanda. He has had so many trials and Wanda really needs him. I got up the courage to ask Wanda if Mike could give him a blessing, which he did today. I wasn't in the room at the time because I had all the kids in the waiting room. I am praying so hard right now and using all my faith to pray for a miracle.
He loves his wife dearly and does a good job taking care of her.
They are both so caring and love family. They came out on Christmas night to the hospital to see baby Serena. And Wanda brought me some pie that I missed from Christmas dinner!
Bob is a such a wonderful grandpa to all kids.
One of his biggest passions is trains. He's like a kid again!

That is such a sweet post for your uncle. I think it is amazing that there was a defibrilator at Brown's, such a miracle! We hope and pray that he recovers.
