This is our niece Sarah. She was one of the flower girls and was very excited about her job.
Here are the handsome young men concentrating on being good ring bearers! I didn't get a good picture of the five brothers in their tuxedos, so I'll have to get that from someone and put it in later. Michelle looked really beautiful in her dress and she was so happy. So was Allen.Isn' t that a beautiful wedding party?! I realized that it's hard to be at a wedding when you're pregnant-I cried the whole time! It was a wonderful ceremony.
This is our newest nephew baby Jed. (Sarah and Samuel's little brother.)
Connor just couldn't make it through all the festivities. He crashed shortly after dinner on Nanny. The nice thing was that when it got too late for the boys, we took them up to our room and came back down to dance the night away! (There were other adults up there in case anything was wrong.)
One exciting moment that happened at the beginning of the reception-a bat flew into the building! A minute later we saw Michelle (the bride) come out of the kitchen with a wooden cutting board! Luckily for the bat it found its way outside again without getting beaten!
This was a weekend that we really needed, and we are grateful to Allen and Michelle for allowing us to stay at the cabin to relax. Meals were taken care of by various family members. We enjoyed being away from phones (no cell phone reception either!), computers, appts., household projects, and lots of other things that distract us from just relaxing and being together as a family. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great weekend. And Allen and Michelle, I hope you had the time of your life and will always look back on your wedding with fond memories.
